Donne's Plan of Hotwells - circa 1790

Apologies for the relatively low quality of this image which will take a little while to load as it is a large file.  I am actively seeking a better quality original.  This map was created at the height of the fame of the Hotwells Spa.  The pump room was located in the Hotwell House (top left centre).  Note the absence of the Clifton Suspension Bridge which was not completed until 1864.  The river through the city of Bristol was still tidal. The Floating Harbour was completed in 1809.  Compare this with Chilcott's Map of 1849. Donne's Plan of Hotwells - circa 1790
