EDGAR ALLEN POET

Portrait of Edgar Allen Poet by BettyEdgar Allen Poet was a character originally invented for a revue show by Dolwilym Theatre Company in 1979.  He was loosely modeled upon John Cooper Clarke.  However, once he had been loosed upon the scene in West Wales he took on a life of his own appearing at punk gigs and emitting 'pömes' as he quaintly called them at every turn.  Currently he is busy scribbling a whole bunch of new 'pömes'.

Two books of 'pömes' have been published, entitled PÖMES and MÖRE PÖMES from which the following ditties are taken.

Opera Rant | Ode to Cardigan | The Great Beat Poet | Royalty
